Happy holidays to you and yours. I’m wishing you countless moments filled with joy and love.
On gratitude…
Starting Le Find over the summer was a result of listening to a lingering thought from my inner voice, but it was pursued without a clear plan or goal. And for those of you who know me well, you know I looove my plans. I wanted to share my deep gratitude for the space this has become due to your support and engagement. My Le Find efforts have resulted in such special conversations with family, friends, female founders, and complete strangers who see value and inspiration in the content. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading and sharing.
I’m quite excited for some posts I’ve been working on for the new year. If there’s a specific piece of content you’d like to see, please share in the comments or reach out directly.
On time…
…which feels especially relevant with the holiday season.
During the summer and into fall, I had the opportunity to spend extended quality time with loved ones in a way where I could be truly present. In many cases, my cell phone was completely left behind and I found myself more actively listening and comprehending conversations in a way that has been so meaningful. As humans, we are all seeking connection, but it’s so easy to forget that technology has essentially become one of our appendages, so it’s hard to sever the tie.
As you enjoy the holiday season and enter the new year, I would encourage you to leave your phone at home, locked in the car, or buried in your purse for certain connection occasions. Beautiful life is happening outside of our technology - and outside of our work commitments.
And a female-founded list for your post-holiday shopping
My personal shopping ethos over the past few years has been to more thoughtfully and intentionally purchase high-quality items that are timeless and feel authentic to my personal style. If I don’t really love something, even if it has arrived at my house, I’ll return it in favor of a piece I know without a doubt that I’ll wear for years to come.
Post-holiday season means sales galore - with our inboxes and social media exploding with deeper discounts. It can be so easy to pull the purchase trigger because the perceived savings feels like a dopamine hit. I’ve historically allowed myself to fall victim to this way too many times to count. It has been my own twisted version of ‘girl math.’ If you’re getting some extra money from “Santa” this year, might I recommend shopping from this list of female-founded brands - they’re using pure, natural materials to make heirloom pieces. If you search my prior posts, you’ll see many products featured by these creators. I know I’m forgetting some and that’s not intentional. I’m more sharing a list of the brands that I’ve been especially personally happy with after many wears.
